I was surprised I didn't gain any weight from yesterday's off-diet day, so I enjoyed a double meat pastrami sandwich and a pickle with the last chocolate eclair for lunch. I'm close to finishing this bowl of Watch City Glass Slipper Micro-Batch in an undated straight brown sandblasted Tom Eltang cherrywood with a black acrylic saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Man, what a beautiful day! It’s 83 f degrees, and hot if your in the sun, but I’m resting comfortably in the shade with Windjammer in a cob and a glass of iced tea.

Sun Bear 2019 in Peterson SH Professor rusticated P-lip. Rubbed the hell out of it for quick drying. The tin was nice and ready to pop. Smelled nice, but didn't really spent too long sniffing it.
Did a second set of walking reps, and have about a quarter of a bowl left of Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a straight smooth brown 1960s-70s BBB Own Make 506 Canadian with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite stem.
John Bull Royal English in a Johs bent freehand with plateau on the brim and shank. This is a pleasing mild English blend that didn't need a charing light. It's in the upper eighties in central North Carolina, with days gradually cooling off for the next week. I'm in shorts and short sleeves. After a few chores, I've been watching two youTube videos on sharpening knives, mostly for my folding knives, Case, Remington, and others. I'm trying to refrain from buying a Buck pocket knife. Nothing too fancy, to tote around the world. Knife sharpening is a real Zen exercise, kind of like yoga or meditation, working the burr back and forth. For now, I'm leaving my wife's chef knives to the pro's.

Pretty tough day on the job. But I survived and when I got home a pipe awaited me. It’s a late 1800’s Meer with Bone Stem. I destroyed a Kiko pipe to harvest a tenon adapter. Pipes are tools and functional art. Yes, I destroyed a pipe. It’s okay. After this smoke the pipe is going off for a proper stem. I’m keeping the bone stem, so take a deep breath.
