I have a 4 year old tin of CEC. I bought it because I like the name. You are the first person I've seen on here to mention smoking it so I have to ask, what do you think of it?Cross eyed Cricket in an unbranded pipe

Great picture of the grandkids!
@weezell Nice pipe; I've smoked 1792 Flake in my clay pipes. I feel it would suit my Redcoat character!Samuel Gawith: 1792 Flake in a Meer...
It has a very unique flavor. I can’t pick out any of the components and the topping (rum?) is a bit overwhelming when fresh.I have a 4 year old tin of CEC. I bought it because I like the name. Awesome. Very helpful, thanks. It has a very unique flavor. I can’t pick out any of the components and the topping (rum?) is a bit overwhelming when fresh.
The stuff I’m smoking now has been in a jar for a year. The topping has mellowed some and I like it much better than when it was fresh. I get a good volume of smoke from this tobacco and I like the mouth feel and after taste. I don’t think there is any cigar leaf in it but it reminds me of some cigar blends I’ve smoked. Overall I’d have to say that I like it - but it’s something I have to be in the mood for.
You should try Black Maria from John Dengler in St. Charles, MOLoaded up the Big Ben bulldog with some Eastfarthing. First time trying this blend. The search for an English blend with a room note the wife can tolerate continues. We'll see how this one rates.View attachment 141109
Thank you sir. I'll check into that for sure. Amazingly she said "That's not too bad". High praise from my wife when it comes to an English blend. You should try Black Maria from John Dengler in St. Charles, MO
