Enjoyed a tasty lunch, and am a quarter of the way through this bowl of aged Rattrays Hal O’ The Wynd in a straight smooth brown pre-1952 (Comoy’s) Corinthian De-Luxe 126 pot made for Sutliff in San Francisco with a black tapered vulcanite stem. Gold Star Kona Extra Fancy coffee, neat, is my drink. This is an exceptional coffee.

Done ? another 1 Mile swim today ?; met James again and gave him a packet of sweets and a few pipefuls of baccy. He said the Yorktown tasted smooth but similar to Clan.
Going to get another £1.50 Tesco Clubcard voucher now I've reached 150 points; not going to Tesco until I receive my next statement in May.
Took 4 bags of recycling for Angela in Newbold this afternoon and good ? to see James again...
If James was in one of my stories he'd be a Cavalier as he has a beard and likes trying my hat on while smoking his pipe...

In tribute to didi's late great dog friend Kane, who is pictured lolling happily on their boat, I'm smoking a nautical blend, GLP Barbary Shore, in the Savinelli Vernere rusticated straight apple that I won years ago in the Forums/SP cartoon caption contest. Here's to Sir Kane, wishing his spirit bountiful horizons.

After lunch smoke in the garage. We really need rain, so I’m thankful that it’s raining again.
Had a scant pinch of a personal mixture left over - 80% Boswell Best,10% C&D Red Virginia and 10% C&D Perique.

I decided to add a healthy pinch of Half and Half to it and on a whim thought, why not a wee bit more Perique?
I know this sounds very eclectic, however it’s a very enjoyable smoke. I’ve been experimenting with adding Perique to Aromatic blends and like the added flavor it brings out in the other leaf as well as a subtle spice.
I’m smoking year 2008 Boswell bent, freehand. The handcarved rustication on this pipe provides an amazing tactile appeal.
Cup of hot tea with honey is my drink.64014FC8-EE91-4E33-9FA8-F4DDF71EC9DD.jpeg8C58E26A-5C12-4734-8E1D-C60C860EBA7D.jpeg

I've gotten two pipes from the Ropp vintage line - this one and a Canadian, both with the horn stem - and have been totally happy with them. They smoke great and I think are a great value for the $$.

I've gotten a couple of super cheap ones from their "Etiudiante" line (< $50) and have been happy with them, too.

Great! I appreciate the input. I’ve been really wanting to buy one of the Canadians and possibly a Cutty. I feel a pipe purchase coming on.?

Did a second set of walking reps, and am close to finishing this bowl of D&R Ryback in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

Jim, I'm sorry for asking if it is an obvious question, but what is "bergs"? It has bewildered me. Beautiful pipe by the way!
