I fashioned a crude stand for my Vauen Luxus out of a scrap of pine and a twig from the garden. I’m gonna fill it with some Peterson Nightcap that arrived this morning.

Got my second Covid shot, and on the way home, a renegade pastrami sandwich was swiftly dealt with. I'm now smoking D&R Ryback in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Time to do a third set of walking reps.

The third and last of my Peterson 999s - a pre-Republic Sterling. My second bowl of 2008 Briar Fox. I’m enjoying this smoke on a less breezy day - some sweetness from the VAs with some ballast from the burlies. Can smoke a bit hot if pushed (which of course I do!) and maybe a touch of bitterness or slight edge from the burly. Delicious, though.

Now smoking Wilke No. 111 in a smooth medium bend 1950s Peterson Shamrock Killarney 9BC with a sterling silver band and a black vulcanite p-lip stem. This has a nice yenidje flavor. Ice water and bergs is my drink.

It's hard to see, but this G&H Brown #4 from 2018 is now covered in a layer of sparkling crystals. Smoking some in a Savinelli 673 Oceano.

Rattray’s Dark Fragrant in a Stanwell Shape 91 with a replacement stem. First time I’ve tried this pipe and tobacco combo. Working well.
