A quarter of the way through this bowl of year 2018 Sutliff Dunhill Elizabethan Match in a 1980 smooth walnut finish quarter bend Peterson 505 Rhodesian silver spigot military mount with a black vulcanite saddle stem fishtail bit. This smoke will be interrupted by a very late lunch. It's been a very busy, but fun day.

That’s a cool looking Pete. Don’t think I’ve seen the 505 before and it looks handsome in a spigot - or maybe it’s the lines of the spigot that’s disguising the shape a bit.

About a third of a bowl left of Watch City Rouxgaroux in a smooth straight late ‘50s, early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad. Watching the Braves-Phillies game.

Had three new smokes today. Rattray Bapiper’s Dream in an Amphora prince (posted earlier). After lunch was 2006 McConnell Special London Mature in a Mimmo Provenzano grade A smooth lovat with plateau rim. It was a great smoke. Evening was Samuel Gawith Perfection in a Dunhill 4120 Cherrywood. Perfection has potential but wasn’t the perfect smoke. It seemed dry from the tin but I think it was hiding moisture and I found the super pressed ribbon cut hard to pack. Next time I will try to separate the strands better and maybe give it some drying time. 198C9892-896C-4E8E-8470-DDC3BF20CF07.jpeg5741FA74-22CD-4D3D-86DF-88D923F30E7A.jpeg
