Not far from finishing this bowl of the very dry year 2010 Villager Virginia No.444 in a smooth straight late 1970s Charatan Special 4148DC Reg. No. 203573 pot with a black double comfort vulcanite stem. Bright and sunny today, but clouds are planning to change that.

Gawith and Hoggarth Dark Plug in a Dawnmist White Moorlander clay pipe. Gone cold & wet today after the hot sunny spell.
I like a bit of Gawith Hoggarth Cherry Vanilla in my clay pipes; I smoked some when I went to see Lace Wars at Cromford Mill last year.
Went down a real treat in my clay!
Photo taken at Cromford Mill Lace Wars event in 2019:
That's me in the background with my back to the camera to the right of the man wearing glasses in the centre.
RULES OF THE LACE WARS RELATING TO PIPES:
1) No smoke signals before the battle.
2) No smoking in the company of ladies.
I'll be going here in September if the lockdown is over by then...
