What do you think of the smoke?

I don’t really know what I’m doing, yet. It was enjoyable, though. Kinda had a little sweetness to it that was nice.

I can’t really tell you much about the grassy fruity everything else notes. Just that it lit well, was nice and cool, no relights, and I’m glad I bought a lot of it.

I smoked my first bowl of it earlier. I'm in the same boat as you, I was just curious what another new pipe smoker thought about it. I enjoyed it too and I can't wait to get some age on my other tin.

For sure. Seems like it’d be good at any time of day, as well. Not too strong, but also I knew it was there. I’m still having a hard time discerning some of these differences I’m reading about...

Same here. I'm sure it will come with time and experience, though. I'll just keep enjoying what I smoke and trying to find the nuance until then.

HU Louisiana Broken Flake in my favorite “yard pipe”, a Savinelli Capri. A rusticated 1/8 bent oval shanked Lovat saddle bit Poker something or other. Kinda homely pipe actually, but it smokes really well, as good as any pipe I’ve owned.

Speaking of different, HU LB is not at all like any of the other Vapors in my rotation. It might be the Kentucky that sends it off into a different direction, I don’t smoke a lot of blends w/ Kentucky. Grassy, Earthy, raisin/fig with a pleasant sour counter note to the sweet woodsy taste of the Virginias.
Interesting smoke.

Relaxing after a wonderful salad, filet mignon and asparagus dinner with strawberries for dessert. I'm part way through this bowl of year 2001 VaPer Three Nuns in a 1980s White Pipe straight lattice apple meerschaum with an acrylic yellow cream colored saddle stem. Watching Burns and Allen.

You would probably like Savinelli's Doblone d'Oro.
