Sittin up in the mancave enjoying a couple of the new offerings I picked up at the TAPS Pipe and Tobacco Expo on Raleigh today.
First up is D&R London Dock in my Calebrisi Bent Dublin. Nice smoke, a little more of a full body smoke than I usually smoke, but enjoyable.
Second in the lineup, so far anyway :), is D&R Racoon"s Accent in a great little Kaywoodie Apple.
Sippin on Blantons and admiring my haul from today's events.

What a great day and what an enjoyable evening. Got a desk full of samples and tins. Kinda like a kid the the proverbial candy store. :)
Just finished a bowl of Lanes Peaches & Cream in my designated Peach Pipe, my little Yellobole Century Apple with a saddle bit. Nice blend, but I think, as far as Peaches go, I'm still favoring the Sutliff Peach Cobbler.
Time to refil the bourbon glass and select another sample.
And.......
Lanes Burley & Black it is. :) Think I'll try it in the Clubman Bent Billiard

I followed Jim's lead and fired up a bowl of D&R Rimboche SJ in a recently restored RAHM Bent Bulldog (it's first bowl since I've owned it)
The medley continues...
My first time smoking D&R English Hooplah in another estate that I recently restored, A Savaneli Oscar Panel Billiard with a Square Shank with a Saddle Bit. (first bowl in this pipe since I've owned it)
The S.J. is a nice full body smoke (for me anyway) with a definite grassyness to it.
The Hooplah is very reminiscent of other English's that I've come to love.

Jim,
I just came back to thread and had inadvertently fat fingered the keyboard and started on page 3. I came across your post about smoking Penzance and immediately thought "Hey, quit taunting me bro!" thinking you were tryin to get me pot the top on my newly acquired tin. 8O
Tonight's been a wonderful evening of pipesmokingoodness. :)
I'm lookin at my desk and realize that I've got seven pipes out and have gone through as many different, new to me blends.
After all of that I've decided to re-stoke the Savaneli Panel Billiard with the Hooplah. Don't know what it is but this tobacco sings to me, tonight anyway.

Dino: I'm glad to hear you're having a great smoking evening, and that my recommendations helped you with that. :D
