I am taking education classes all this year to prep for my masters program which (hopefully) starts summer of '17. I have to read dozens of YA books. Some of them are quite good. One is Cinder by Marissa Meyer. It is a genre bender with a modern spin on Cinderella. Fun read. All that and Marissa Meyer lives here in WA!

....explaining in wonderful detail the ideas on which Bach drew, how he worked, how his music is constructed, how it achieves its effects—and what it can tell us about Bach the man.

I've been on a teen book kick lately for some reason and I'm almost done with the Brotherband series from John Flanagan.

Station Eleven by Emily St. John Mandel. A post-apocalyptic mystery, it's pretty good a new take (a virus decimates the population, story is told from the past & present).
