I want to read more, but finding books in the English language is hard to find in Colombia and shipping costs from Amazon is pretty costly. So I pace myself to one book per month.

Nightrider: have you looked into getting a Kindle? I love the feel of paper, and I believe that nothing beats the smell of a good old book; but when I lived overseas and shipping was expensive and unpredictable I relied on a Kindle. The selection is anything you can think of, many for free or $.99

I was the guy who said he would never go to an e-book but I'm on my third Kindle and can't imagine reading a traditional book any longer. The Fire/notebook style readers had too many things on them (web browser, etc.) that I never used, I finally settled on an inexpensive Paperwhite and love it.

I've been reading/writing etexts since 1984. The clarity of the Kindle (and, to be honest, the nook and the apps on laptops and tablets) is a blessing. Remember monochrone amber/green CRTs? I do... and we're very lucky to have what we have now.

Travelergypsy: I tried a kindle many years ago but there's something about holding a book. When I am done reading a book I would donate the books to the church. Now, I may just donate the boos here in Colombia to a library. I will be back in the states in November and will just have to load up on some paper back books.

I'm also an ebook convert. I don't like Kindle because Amazon is too locked down for my taste (and seem to be the only reason .epub isn't the universal format), but I love my Sony reader. The sheer convenience of being able to take 100+ books with me on vacation is too good to pass up.
Though recently, I've been doing most of my "reading" through audio book. It lets me multitask. I can read while doing dishes or driving to work or painting tiny toy soldiers.

Currently looking into different editions available of The Silmarillion. Figured it was time I bought my own copy instead of taking it out of the library.

Fairy Tales from the Brothers Grimm - It's good but they are very short stories and usually end abruptly. I expected a bit more, but they are meant for children after all.
