Among others, The Encyclopedia of Crime, by Oliver Cyriax with revisions by Colin Wilson and Damon Wilson.
Durability

"Never underestimate the durability of the human body; no matter what, parts keep on turning up. Killers should clearly visualize the scale of the problem." [First paragraph of article.]

I'm in Stephen Coughlin's "Catastrophic Failure"...and it's a big one. Adding "Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety" to my read list--sounds like a page turner!

I finished David McCullough's The Wright Brothers today, and Erik Larsen' Issac's Storm last week. Not sure what's going to be next.

I'm re-reading Chuck Palahniuk's Survivor. I got the motivation to read another one of his novels when I saw his kickstarter campaign to release Lullaby as a movie. Unfortunately, I lent my copy of Lullaby to someone who never returned it.
By the way, Nate, I am a huge Douglas Coupland fan. I have not had the chance to read Life After God, but absolutely love All Families Are Psychotic.

"U.S.S. Cyclops", by Marvin Barrash. The largest vessel in the fleet, lost in 1918 somewhere off the eastern seaboard with all 306 souls on a voyage surrounded with mystery and intrigue.

I am reading the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan.
That's a long series of long books, Dan. But it's definitely worth the read and a great story. Robert Jordan was a fellow pipe smoker and collector, and pipe smoking plays a small part in those books. I named a couple of my own blends in honor of the books. One is Emond's Field, and the other is Two Rivers Tabak.
I'm in between books right now. Been trying to find something new to read. I'm usually a fantasy reader, but every once in a while I like something different. Maybe I'll look into a good science fiction or space opera story. Westerns are always good too.

@anthonyrosethal74-- I completely agree. It's a re-read for me, as I listen to audiobooks at work and I slog through it once a year. I'm a big fan of high fantasy like that. I forget which book it was, but there was a 10 minute chunk at the end of one of the first few books narrated by Robert and he talked about what compelled him to write these books (and a few friendly riffs on Tolkein). Pretty interesting stuff. I'm about midway through the series right now. If you're looking for more reads, consider The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, The Bartimeus Trilogy by Jonathan Stroud, and the Wild Cards Series (a linear anthology written by George R.R. Martin). Happy Reading!

I'm currently in the middle of preparing for licensure exams, so I've been reading the "Book of Church Order for the Presbyterian Church in America" and commentaries on the Westminster Confession of Faith. A thrilling, page-turning ride....not so much.
Apart from that, I've been reading "Animal Adventures", part of the Little House on the Prairie series, to my 7yr old and 4yr old daughters. I remember the good ol' days when I could read for fun.

Iron Coffin about a true account of German U Boat commander in WW II.
I want to read more, but finding books in the English language is hard to find in Colombia and shipping costs from Amazon is pretty costly. So I pace myself to one book per month.

"All the Pretty Horses" by Cormac McCarthy. Second time through, and still a great book.
