Good selections here — loved Battle Cry of Freedom and Devil in the White City. Check out Eric Larson's book on the Lusitania. I believe it's Dead Wake. I am in the middle of Greg Iles' The Bone tree while working on a tin of John Cotton's Smyrna.

I have a hard time reading when enjoying a pipe because I end up just leaning back in my chair and meditating on the flavors that I'm tasting. 40 minutes later I look down and realize I've read one paragraph. Oh well ::

Reading Ron Chernow's Alexander Hamilton. It's a great read and wonderful compliment to Milan Tobacco's Joe's Blend in my birthday Dunhill Estate.

I'm reading Jim Harrison's 'The Ancient Minstrel'. A cognac topped aromatic would be an obvious choice for Harrison but I don't smoke aromatics so I'm going for deep and spicy with St. James Flake.

I had always been against e-books until my mrs bought me one for x-mas this year. Now I love sitting in the garage with the the pipe and my e-book, makes flipping the page a one hand ordeal and the other hand is free to hold the pipe. I just finished And No Birds Sang by Farley Mowatt white puffing on Trout Stream.
