^Kilgore and Brian,
Speaking of Leslie West, here he is as lead guitar (Pete is the rhythm guitar) on the first recording of The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again" recorded at the New York Record Plant, in March of 1971, with Al Kooper on keyboards.
This version was not used on the Who's Next LP. The song was re-recorded in England the next month, without West and Kooper. Listen for West 's licks at the various breaks.

Thanks Dino...enjoyed that.

A very different recording for sure. I have to say I much prefer the final LP version of the song as a whole, but definitely enjoyed West's guitar there.

And the newspapers, they all went along for the ride
How can the life of such a man
Be in the palm of some fool’s hand?
To see him obviously framed
Couldn’t help but make me feel ashamed to live in a land
Where justice is a game
