Listening to some of the sides Texas Bluesman Henry Thomas recorded for Vocalion in the late 1920s. Here's a tune that became a major hit for a 60s Blues-Rock band, originally called "Bull-Doze Blues" that Thomas recorded in 1928, in Chicago. He accompanies himself on guitar and "quills" -an African American type of pan flute.
