Inspired by a post made by the Forum's Welshman @Flatfish about The Kinks I headed off to Amazon to see what was on offer and ended up with 'The Best of The Kinks: You Really Got Me'.
It arrived this morning and is playing as I type. 20 songs spread over 1 hour, quite the bargain for less than £5.
Only gripe is all songs are in mono bar 2 in stereo, Waterloo Sunset & Apeman.

Working in an audio lab in the '80s with the guys, innocent young woman walks in and I ask, "would you like a pearl necklace?" - "ooh, I'd love a pearl necklace", she said, and then wondered why we were laughing.
A bit later, our lovely but worldly wise office secretary came in, I shot her the same question. Boy, did I get an ear bashing. Oh how they laughed.
