While admittedly this is not the type of music I listen to a lot, I got this as a Christmas present from one of my stepdaughters and I find it quite compelling. I have little experience with new vinyl records, and I have heard some less than flattering comments made about the vinyl being produced in the last few years. This however is an impeccably made record. The original album was a CD released in 2007 and this vinyl recording is from 2017. I don't love everything about it, but the surfaces are as quiet as any CD I've ever heard. The production is a little too smooth at times, but very well done. I might have to encourage my family to buy me more!

Mindless piano jazz on a YouTube channel - puppy was sniffing my face at 5 am and no energy for having the TV “talk” at me this morning. Why this particular one out of many? It has a beagle, lol. IMG_3636.jpeg

Athens, Greece
Listening now to the Dead Brothers, a Swiss band that describe themselves as a "Death Blues Funeral Thrash Orchestra", from a live show in Athens 8 years ago. I was there, I can be spotted in the audience. After the show ended, people asked for more, for encore. And the band responded but outside, in the street! It was great! and a bright moment in my difficult -at the time- life because my mother was seriously ill, I went to the show directly from the hospital, I was very late and I thought I would miss it but finally I didn't, I still remember this moment with gratitude.
Now I read that the frontman Alain Croubalian passed away in 2021.
Rest in peace brother and thank you for the music.
