That was a big hit in the 1960s. Every young boy with ambitions to become a world known guitarist played the first chords of this song on any acoustic guitar they could get. And all kids knew the lyrics and sang with Eric, when his record was played by a radio station or someone had this record on tape or in vinyl. No none ,including me, knew that it wasn’t an original Animals song, but an old traditional. Few years later, I heard a new version that flashed me, roaring from the jukebox of a tiny cafe in a small Bavarian village. The Animals - House of the Rising Sun
Temple of the Dog! Mother Love Bone + Pearl Jam + Soundgarden = Greatness. Still can believe that Chris Cornell is gone, RIP... and Andrew Wood too ?
I saw a documentary on Andrew a while back called 'Malfunkshun' and he seemed like a really, really cool guy.
MLB were a great band, their song Man of Golden Words is one of my favourites.
