Having a pour of Hardin’s Creek. This is from the warehouse series that was recently released . They used the same mash bill on all the barrels and then placed the barrels on 3 different levels in warehouses on the Claremont campus for 11 years. 9th level (owl), 5th level (beaver), and Bottom floor (mushroom). I bought the owl and its Knob Creek 12 on steroids.Have a great weekend, all.

Old Fashioned. I make them in bulk, normally three bottles full using Woodford Reserve Syrup. Add extra Cherry and Orange Bitters.
This batch was all made with Mike Rowe’s Knobel Tennessee Rye Whiskey.

I have an acquaintance who's parents made a pitcher of Manhattan's and kept it in the fridge for a quick cocktail. Dig the idea.
I do the same with Manhattans.
I absolutely love whiskey neat, but I also like whisky sours, old fashioned and manhattans.
Bottom line, I love American whiskey and bourbon.
4 kinds of cheese on artisan sourdough bread. Add thick sliced bacon. Served with a great tomato bisque to dip in.
I'm still a big fan of a classic homemade version but this one is truly a decadent treat.
October means random German/Oktoberfest beers from Aldi's.
Trying this Pilsner for a change to the usual Paulaner, DAB's I get.
As per usual for German beer, it's damn good. Smoking Ennerdale Flake.

Smog City Smogtoberfest. Very good. Somewhat hoppy but delicious. Similar to the Hofbrau Oktoberfest but with a little bit of an edge.
