I could post you a pic of the mug I'm drinking it from, but there wouldn't be much point: it is Bishop (England's answer to Gluehwein, mentioned in Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol'). You get a bottle of non-vintage ruby port and warm it up with half an orange that's been stuck with half a dozen whole cloves and roasted in a slow oven for a quarter of an hour or so. Sweeten to taste (I recommend a level teaspoonful of sugar per half pint mug) and heat gently until steaming (don't, for Heaven's sake, let it boil). For maximum effect, drink at blood heat.

CAVEAT: Mrs. Badger and I, one Christmas morning, decided to sink an indecent amount of this while waiting for the goose to cook in the oven. We regained consciousness three hours later, just in time to save the bird from burning.
