Late start, too much Champagne last night?

A Scotsman drinking Argentine whisky on New Years day.....think I'm going mad!!
Currently having a St. Germain (Elderflower liquor and Champagne) with the leftover bubbly from last night. I don't usually like sweet cocktails but this is a good one.
A friend & his wife came over. We had a very interesting evening as they had partied all night last night, so they were snoozing all evening. I had so far
1. Aberlour 16 yo
2. Lagavulin 16 yo
3. Balvenie Single Barrel 15 yo Sherry Cask Finish
4. Repeat Aberlour 16yo
My friend gave me company on the first Aberlour and the Balvenie
His wife nursed a Margarita I made for her. My wife of course does not drink alcohol, so she drank water.
Overall a very fun evening!

Cshubhra, my sister bought me a 16 year old Aberlour for my birthday bottle some years ago, a splendid Scotch if ever there was one! The same year my ex bought me a 12 year old Cardhu.

I have discovered Aberlour recently. It is a staple now, as it punches way above its class!
