Sunny Cornwall, UK.
For years I've been promising myself a bottle of Walter Hicks Rum, matured (7 years) here in Cornwall though made in Guyana. What held me back was the scary price....but I bit the bullet last week and ordered one and it just this moment arrived.

I shouldn't expect it is found in the States but here is the info on it. At 71.4% ABV that calculates as 125% proof over here but 143% proof in the States. This I think will be the strongest spirit I've had. My usual choice of rum is Woods Rum (57% ABV), also made in Guyana but aged in Scotland of all places!

Anyway, I just popped the lid and took a tiny sip.....fiery for sure, but very nice. Will have a full measure at 10pm.....with a splash of water

Already invited my neighbour round for a taster.....told him to bring along his smallest thimble
