Today was truly a celebration of summer, of life. My wife and I rode bikes to the farmer's market this morning and we just finished a great meal of locally sourced veggies and protein. I'm keeping it going into the evening.
Having Westward Single Malt from Oregon (specially prepared for Flaviar) while having Cornell & Diehl/Warped Saint Espresso in an undated Meerschaum Cutty on the porch with Susan and the puppy.
The Flaviar is young. Susan grabbed the Maker's Mark Bourbon Street Wine & Spirits Barrel #9 10 Stave Private Selection (oak stave profile listed on label), 109 Proof to have next. Enjoying an Hoyo de Monterrey ICON (5.5" x 49) with it.
Following up with Kilchoman 2021 Limited Edition 11th 100% Islay Edition (Susan’s birthday present). It was distilled from their 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2011 barley harvests before being matured for a minimum of 9 years in 26 bourbon barrels and 7 oloroso sherry butts (sorry for the blurry pic, but, it’s late).
Last night I had this delicious beer. With some bread toast, fresh cheese spread, avocado slices and some anchovy sardines on top. Then I was jumping out of bed to the kitchen to get fresh water, all night long.
