West Central Indiana Pipers

I am curious whether there are any west central Indiana members interested in putting together an informal club of sorts, or if there are even any forum members in my area. I only know one other pipe enthusiast in my area and thought I would put out some feelers here on the forums for like minded folks in my neck of the woods. Anyone, anyone? :D

I'm in Crawfordsville, and I would be willing to travel a bit myself. A monthly roving/roaming meet-up could be fun.

It sounds like there is at least some interest. Does anyone have a preference or suggestions on a possible time and or location? It sounds like possibly the greater Indianapolis area would work out the best.

Finding a place that allows smoking might be difficult in Indy. I work my real job every Saturday and Sunday which, unfortunately is when most folks will likely prefer to meet. I can do any day through the week.

Fridays would typically work for me, I work days M-F with occasional weekends. As far as a smoking friendly location goes The Pipe Puffer in Greenwood comes to mind. It would be fine for a small group and as long as we purchased some of their wares. I'm sure they wouldn't mind a few guys hanging around smoking for an hour in the "lounge" area. There is also the Smoker's Choice in Brownsburg at The Green Street Shops with a decent smoking lounge. Or perhaps there is a bar in the area that still allows a little fumar.

The Pipe Puffer is just a couple blocks down from where I work. I could probably talk Nate King into going too. I've never been to Smoker's Choice in Brownsburg but that works for me too because either is about the same distance from my home.

The Pipe Puffer works for me, I could also do Fridays, not this Friday as I'm already engaged but soon would be cool. It seats about seven or so, however there are cigar smoking barnacles that never leave the place, the owner is cool, but we would need to reserve the seating ahead of time to be sure of a place to smoke.

It sounds like The Pipe Puffer is our best option to start. I can make it Friday after 3:30 but I realize that is pretty short notice for everyone. I will be out of town next week checking out the Southern Fried Pipe Show in Nashville. I'm not sure what my schedule looks after that as things are picking up at work but I'm sure I can find some time.

No idea, but I recently talked to guy in Northwestern IN about talking to some folks from Chicago for a meet up. Kinda up in the air. I know there are a few of us from Indiana on the forum. I'm in Mishawaka, a stones throw from Notre Dame. Willing to travel, weekends only fortunately or unfortunately.

I could make it to Indy if need be. I have a friend or two I would like to see while I'm down there. Hell, might even spend the night in Bloomington. I have some unfinished business with a dozen or so Geodes. :twisted:
