This is why the BMI chart is only good for some people. I have a friend who by the reading of the BMI chart is morbidly obese. He is 5'11" 310 pounds. But his body fat is <7%. He has muscles I honestly believe I dont have.

He has been body building for about 34 years, and at 54 years old, still has <7% body fat...absolute beast.
And NO, its not "natural". He's been juiced for 30 years.

As to the OP, a "Mediterranean diet" can be a very useful method of losing weight. Just stay away from all the GOOD Mediterranean food....breads and sweets.

If you seriously watch your carbs, you can eat as much beef as you want...as long as your heart is good. Honestly if you cut out sugar, bread, pasta, rice, and other carbohydrates, pounds will fall off. Humans weren't meant to eat sugar and grains like we do today.
We have only been eating grain heavy diets for about 10,000-12,000 years. Before that the majority of humans ate a "Paleo" diet....meat, fruits, nuts, and wild vegetables. Obesity was not a thing back then.
