GH used to be the place to buy rope of various blends and strengths, but though they are still pictured and listed on tobacco websites, they are regularly out-of-stock. I do enjoy your Scotch Mixture, and it seems to remain available.

We still produce twists but as these are made by hand they are very labour intensive to make and take a long time to produce compared to other tobaccos. Plus we make to order for export and so it depends what the importer orders as to what stock is produced and sent and in what quantities. There are regular shipments to the USA and other countries but the products sell out quickly. We are trying to increase production capacity.

I couldn't find Dark XX. I know it's sold in 25g pouches for chewing, but it's an excellent pipe tobacco.

And up until 3-4 years ago, I could just go to about any online vendor and just order it... or any of their other products.

Now that more people are jumping into pipe smoking and reading these forums, they seem to think that they need to immediately order 10 lbs. of each item to build their tobacco cellar...

Yes, @gawithhoggarth I've not been able to get your blends either. Hook up your distributors with enough quantity, and the reviews will flow forth!

Thank you GawithHoggarth. I can understand the labor intensive aspect of rope/twist cuts. And, they are not everyone's desire. There was recently a video on Forums that showed how to use a cigar cutter -- the good metal kind, not the cheap plastic ones-- to slice rope into coins to smoke, and I got one of those, on sale, for the purpose, before I discovered the scarcity of rope cut blends of any kind. So I bought a few cigars.

Not only has demand skyrocketed, increased shipping and regulatory issues have affected lead times. The drop late last year was available for several days...

With as fast as GH&co products sell out, I have to wonder why keep pushing the marketing? If you started finally to make more than you can sell out in a few hours, then... you'd need to market more heavily. But, as it is now, GH&co could make butt sweat flavored twists, and it would sell out in less than three hours.

only issue is getting ahold of the stuff. Though if you want snuff reviews I can certainly give those frankly Gawith Hoggarth snuffs are the most underrated on the market.

Market research... helps to determine where to focus their immediate effort.

I really get the impression that this is something that is happening. Looks like that's the way things are heading. In fact to me it looks like after a while they'll actually stay around long enough to get.

A couple of years ago I would've given glowing reviews but recent releases of blends such as Ennerdale, Grousemore, Glengarry, Coniston Cut Plug, and a few others are shadows of their former glory. I won't be buying any more.
