WCC Rouxgaroux this Year?

How much do they make like 3 lbs? Weak sauce.

275 pounds this time around.

“Rouxgaroux is a difficult tobacco to make. Two different Virginias have to be cased with different sauces. Then They need to rest. Now, Perique comes in 2 forms only these days- Very long strands of Ribbon and Granular. Granular sucks. It doesn't even taste the way Perique should. The Strands are great but need to be hand re-cut into shorter ribbons in order to mix into the other tobaccos. Too long and it clumps up. Too short and it precipitates. I have a system set up that gives me consistent strips but it takes a LOOOONG time to do it. Cement mixers, which a lot of houses use, won't work with Rouxgaroux. It all has to be carefully and painstakingly blended by hand. Every inch of each batch has to me massaged to make sure nobody gets a clump of straight Perique. It's a labor of love but it takes time. We made more this time than any tobacco every before.“

With your experience, what can you compare it to?

I haven't smoked it since I got the sample from Jim. I'll try to answer this if I can after my order comes in and I have a few bowls.

Since I have a goodly amount of other Watch City blends that I like, it made sense to me to get the pound, as it's the only blend I would have ordered and shipping isn't exactly free.
Next time it shows up there will be one less competitor for the release.

Unless I change my mind...

I learned this lesson smoking Tabac Manil. If you don’t pack their bone dry offerings tight as can be, you’re in for a rude awakening.

Likely. He and one other guy do the packing and shipping, so it is not impossible to police. There are semi-regulars on another forum that missed out. He would be happy to cancel a few duplicates and sell them the goods. Mike at Mars cancels game players, too.

I know you weren’t asking me but I’ll give you my opinion anyway. I think the closest comparable blend is KBV Verge Engine Overdrive, and that one usually isn’t too hard to get. I love them both and consider them to be the best VaPers available today.

Thank you @tfdickson. I really enjoy KBV Verge Engine Overdrive and have quite a bit cellared. At least now I know what to look forward to. I have not been disappointed with anything that I’ve tried from WCC so I don’t suppose that this will disappoint. Thanks again for sharing your impressions.
