I logged into my account around 11:50am just to get ready and was able to purchase some. I had some in my cart last Halloween and didn’t place the order and regretted it. Glad I will have some to smoke and some to age.
On the Carolina Red Flake w/Perique thread I was asked what I was holding out for, rather than having bought CRFwP and this is one of them. I like Rougaroux. A lot. So this gets my money with no regrets. Picked up a pound at the sound of the bell.
I like it as well and yhe remaining threw pounds in my closet can attest just coming down to the wire on an auction I'm watching.
I’ve bought mine. It sounds like a blend I will like, esp. with the red VAs.
And you do not have to wait 15-20yrs to smoke Rougaroux.
I was on the fence about purchasing more of this blend. Don’t get me wrong, I love Rouxgaroux, but I’m already sitting on a couple pounds and I’ve accumulated more tobacco than I will ever be able to smoke…..but, I noticed they still had Kendal Flake in stock, so I grabbed a 500g. box of that and 8 oz. of Rouxgaroux to reach free shipping. I’m telling you folks, it’s a sickness.
Rougaroux is ready to smoke on delivery. I still have the last release jarred. I'd like to see what some shelf time does. I suspect CRFwP is smokeable now, if not yet ready, or it wouldn't have been released, and may be mo' better in a few years, but I'd rather not wait.And you do not have to wait 15-20yrs to smoke Rougaroux.

Rouxgaroux will be better in 15-20 years. Doesn't mean its not ready to smoke now, just like any other blend out there.

Last Spring's Rouxgaroux blows the doors off this year's CRFwP.
Somewhere in the neighborhood of 800 lbs, 2 to 3 times the size of the last batch. An awful lot of work, considering how they handle the Perique
It's just chopping a bunch of leaves. Really, the prohibitions against child labor are hampering the free market.
Destemming, deveining, very precise cutting by hand something akin to 200 lbs of prime quality whole leaf Perique. Easy peasy.
This stuff is fantastic. It's my daily smoke on my commute home from work. I've got a bunch stashed but grabbed another pound.
