Does anyone know the source of their bulk offerings. I recently received a VA sampler and like all four samples sent. Old dominion and Rhythm and Blues being my favorite. Simply Red reminds me of 515-RC. Just wondering if they buy and rename or actually blend their own.

They use Sutliff then blend and press. I’d say 515-RC is almost definitely a component.

Ernie is the master blender there, and I have seen him make many a fine blend. I do not believe that they simply rebadge other people's products.

Sutliff makes the crumble kakes and perhaps a few other blends on Ernie's specifications, and Ernie blends the rest from his self created recipes with Sutliff tobacco.

They're some truly excellent blends. I enjoy all that I have tried. Flake #558 and Watch City Slices are probably my favorites, but the Latakia blends (Ahab's Comfort and Churchwarden) are both very good, too. Still need to try a few, including Rythym & Blues and Old Dominion.

Are they allowed to ship tobacco to Alaska?

Tobacco products may be mailed as long as the shipments stay entirely within Alaska or Hawaii.

I don't know what restrictions there are to ship to Alaska. WC might.

Almost everyone ships to Alaska, there are no restrictions.

The only people that don’t, don’t because they think it costs more, but as long as you use USPS, it does NOT.

Maybe call or email? It'd be weird for them not to ship to AK since they say they'll ship internationally.

Yeah planning on calling monday.

I don’t know for sure that they don’t, I just know Alaska isn’t an option in their “state” dropdown menu when you fill out your shipping address. Which means they either dont ship here, or they forgot alaska is part of the us. Either way, i cant place an order online, haha. Ill call them monday.

Hahaha, yeah Alaskans like to talk shit about Texas. Most people think its because texas always claims to be such a big state (less than half the size of Alaska) but it actually stems mostly from the 70s during construction of the Trans Alaska Pipeline when a lot of tradesman from Texas and Oklahoma migrated to Alaska to “take oil jobs away from Alaskans.”

“Happiness is an Okie going home with a Texan under each arm.” Was a common expression.

Not opining on thats validity one way or the other here, but thats the gist of it.
