Just tried to order from them for the first time (flake sampler). Apparently they don’t ship to Alaska! For no good reason at all. LAME!!!!

Jeez lol. Or maybe it was a glitch in the matrix? Which it turned out to be? It’s always a simple answer....usually not a nefarious one. It was temporary. It’s all fixed now. Thanks for letting me know.

I have smoked the four samples repeatedly and really like them all. I am glad to know my palette is ok after not liking the C&D Red Flake at all. Though maybe something was wrong with me.

Looking forward to Rouxgaroux. I will be stocking up on WC bulks.

Nice work on that, then, Jim! I got a sample of it from WC a couple months ago, and it is taaasty. Any idea when the VaBur will be out?

Vabur is on hold while I battle Lyme Disease. (Damn ticks.) and you’re right about Jim knowing his stuff! Jim and I seem to be on the same page when it comes to hashing out blends and I look forward to continuing the Vabur with him when I can!

They use Sutliff then blend and press. I’d say 515-RC is almost definitely a component.

Sutliff makes all our Krumble Flakes to my specs and utilizing my casing recipes.

All other blends are made here utilizing a combination of Sutliff, Stokkebye (mostly their Latakia and fire cured) and a bit of Lane’s blending tobacco.

Nice! Good to know, glad it was a technical issue. Sorry for sounding a little frustrated, the whole “we don’t ship to Alaska” thing is a bit of a sore spot up here, because of the aforementioned and oft encountered ignorance of those doing the shipping. Many just assume its like shipping to another country and write off without actually doing the research first. I will place my order today!

My apologies, I just really want to try these famous tobaccos! Hope Simply Red and R and B will be back soon!
