Glad to see pipes and cigars being associated in the interview by the wealthy and successful. It heralds continued interest and market.
Shervington was one of the few who could repair meerschaum cases and recover them in new leather. They repaired many of my pipes, fitted silver bands and sold me tobacco. Also I use to frequent Smiths Snuff in Charing Cross Road and Indewicks on Carnaby Street. I think the place in Leaden Hall Market is still around. The young today call it progress.
I wish meerschaum case repair (and manufacturing) would return.
Great find, I'll have to watch when I have some time. It's so tragedy how many wonderful B&Ms have been lost and how many more will be.
