Missouri Meerschaum and their first competitor, which they bought circa 1907, both made these, as did a later competitor, the Phoenix-American Cob Pipe Works, into (I think) the 1940s or 50s. In the '07 catalog, this big one was the No. 49 Tibbe's. By the 1930s, Missouri Meerschaum was calling it the "Grand-Pa." This label is their 2nd design; the pre-07 labels have the same pattern, but they say "H. Tibbe & Son - Missouri Meerschaum." I'd guess this is indeed 1920s-1930s, judging by the label. Enjoy it! They're not rare, but they're uncommon.
