Never know what may happen in the future; my stepson, girlfriend, and granddaughter had to move in with us for 5 months. I was really glad to have some tobacco cellared when money was tight.

You're a tobacco horder. I sense an intervention in your future. I'll never understand what motivates you people to buy far more tobacco than you need. You people are lacking in inner strength. It's just something I couldn't possibly understand.

One thing, you may want to jar up the Gawith 250G package(s) or put them in an airtight cooler.

You're in for a nice treat with the Long Golden Flake! I've not heard anyone else say this but I find that Strang and Long Golden Flake are very similar with their sweet and sour profile. One of my favorites! Nice stash, I have mine all over the house and in different drawers, it would be a nightmare getting it all out for pictures, plus I don't want my wife seeing all of my stash in one place... she'd freak!

Great looking stash. I like how organized it is, and you can actually find what you are looking for. Mine is all over my house and I have a bunch of unopened boxes in my closet. I have no one to answer to so I can buy as much as I want. I keep saying I am going to commander one of the closets upstairs but laziness seems to come over me every time I think about doing it.

What exactly are the downsides to cellaring "too much" tobacco? Here's the logic tree:
I either live long enough to smoke it all myself, or I dont.
If I live long enough I get to enjoy the pleasures of smoking well-ageed tobacco acquired at substantially less cost than buying aged tobacco.
If I don't live, or it's apparent I won't live long enough (Harris, cough...Peck, cough cough cough) then I either must sell some at a handsome profit, or have the pleasure of sharing my stash with others by giving it away, or I suppose my family could sell it all for a substantial sum as well.
I'm not seeing the downside?
P.S. - I've added 12 tins since this was first posted. Oops. :puffpipe:

What's the downside of having too much anything? A collection such a that diverts from your funds when you could be spending money in ways that make you more money. Of course you're free to waste cash on tobacco and pipes, such is the nature of freedom, but I just don't see the point of having more than one pipe and one tin of tobacco at a time. Those who spend money on expensive pipes and tobacco just make me sad. :(

This is a good point. It's a balance. If you can save money without tying too much up, which is relative to your income, then it's a good thing. Otherwise, it's cash you could have made work for you, and bought more tobacco with it.

Exactly RapMetal, that's all I'm saying. There are forum members here who spend over $500+ on single pipes and waste money on bags of Pendhaven and Stonegate! Some people have their priorities all kindsa messed up!

Not really! It's about what makes you happy right? If storing a lot of tobacco makes you feel all warm and fuzzy than I say more power to ya! Happiness doesn't always equate to having more money and money doesn't drive everyone. $500 on a pipe is chump change for some, so it's all relative, really.
