Being in my forties I refuse to believe that there will be very little pipe tobacco around in twenty years. Last I checked it is a growing market.
Even if it is growing now (which is probably temporary and will turn back down later), pipe tobacco is a drop in the bucket compared to tobacco use as a whole and it's cigarette companies that keep tobacco farmers farming, and cigarettes as well as tobacco overall are still in decline, especially if you look at the long run, the overall trend is down, even if there's a tiny uptick specifically for pipes on the way because of millennials picking it up after watching LotR 5 years ago, or even a brief uptick in tobacco overall, historical trends still show downward decline.

Bringing up mention of the Danish, now I’ve never been to Denmark, but let’s all be honest here, Danish Pipe Carvers put a serious mark in the world of pipes, with some of the absolutely biggest, and most respected names in the pipe world.

When I consider the Danish Pipe History, it makes absolutely no sense that the Danish Pipe smokers would want to homogenize their blends into middle of the road.

I’ve always thought that Danish and Quality went hand in hand synonymously, to mean great quality for everything, tobacco of course included.

Obviously everyone has different tastes, but to picture Eltang or Former smoking shit tobacco, seems odd.

Is there any news out there coming from the big names in Denmark over STG? 🧐

I wonder how true this is now? According to the Google AI, it had this to say about The Danish Pipe Shop’s thoughts on STG;

The Danish Pipe Shop, they generally view Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) as a positive force in the pipe smoking market.

Don’t take me the wrong way, enjoy whatever you like, that’s all that matters. But what people should consider, who has ever seen mass produced, at the quality as Boutique Micro Level, small hand production.

To me the words Connoisseur, and Aficionado, mean small production. And in the world of drink, food, smoke, I’ve never personally experienced these things as mass produced, that were ever better, than small craft hand production.

How do some of the biggest artisan names in the pipe world, expect people to want to spend massive money on very high end pipes, to then smoke cheap tobacco, expecting this to appeal to anyone.

hmm hmm hmm 🧐

I think the Cyber Truck takes the cake for ugliest vehicle.
If nothing else, I respect the Cyber Truck's designers for saying, "...Yo, let's make this thing look like a police tank from a dystopian 1980s sci-fi!"
Now if only Cyber Truck drivers would own the aesthetic, and wear a lot of like... Leather, neon, and tin foil.

It does look like something out of Robocop. Probably it’s only saving grace.

Let's parse this:
I wish Laudisi would save Sutliff and partner it with C&D.
Way too late for that. STG bought Mac Baren and they have no intentions of selling it or Sutliff.
Is there any way this could be made to happen? Laudisi has done well by Peterson. I think they are more committed to pipe smokers than any company, bar Gawith & Hoggarth.
Peterson tobaccos are made by STG. They own the Peterson's TM for pipe tobacco.
I am sure I am naively grasping at straws…but maybe I look like an adorably daft child while doing it.
You are kinda cute, kid!
