Here are a couple of one-of-a-kind pipes made from briar roots. The larger one was owned by pipemaker, Thomas Cristiano; I had previously mistakenly written that it was in his collection for sixty years—it was not—he bought it from a collector at a pipe show who had owned it for sixty years (Cristiano was only fifty-three when he died in 2005). The smaller one is from C-Pipe (Wilson Wang’s company). I love unusual 360⁰ grain on the rims.
