Understand perfectly, all my family is in England. I was born in Canada but grew up surrounded with people from all over the UK and their humour. One of my favorite shows is Little Britain, I translate for the wife. :mrgreen:
Wahoo!!! Came home from work this evening and Santa had arrived. I am so excited I've been jumping up and down clapping my hands like some kind of spastic seal! First, I saw Star Wars this week, and now this! Life is complete!
I got:
Penzance! - Ben wanting to try. Haven't been able to find it in stock!
Brown Flake - One of my SS favorites.
Dockworker - Which can only be ordered from the maker in Germany
Fribourg & Treyer Cut VA Plug - Over a year old
Solani 633 - Also over a year old!
Thank you SO MUCH to Jason (captainprophesy ?). I am humbled by your generosity.You have gone WAY above and beyond.
And to pruss, thanks so much for hosting this. This has been an absolute blast! I am already looking forward to next year.

Package received! Gotta admit that I couldn't wait and opened it up, two tins of things I'm very excited to try. I'll post some pictures in the morning.

Your SS and I have been watching the tracking on your package since December 11. The last update was on December 16, as the parcel was shipping out of the USPS sort facility in Dorval. Canada Post didn't have it on its tracking site and we lost site of it after the 16th... we just had to hold out hope that Santa would come through.
I'm so happy that he did.

I keep checking this thread waiting for Davet's package to arrive and I am not even part of the SS event! I am glad it made it in time. It is great to see what everyone go and I look forward to reading about what people get who are waiting for the big day before opening.

Big thanks to my Secret Santa Gecko13. Two of my favorites and a bunch of new blends to try, some softy bits and humidifier disks. I opened the box on Christmas Eve and smoked one of the Stonehaven flakes.

Yesterday was the big day! I organized the packages under the tree so my SS box had to be in the first 3 boxes opened. Derfatdutchman provided three blends, pipe cleaners and a cool tamper. He took the time to check out my posts and saw that I like tampers. He made one for me.
Yesterday was very busy, going to Grandma's house for lunch etc, watching new DVDs with my family. But I finally escaped to the garage to enjoy some tobacco. I often load one pipe with an aromatic and another with a non-aromatic. I loaded a Peterson with the C&D Autumn Evening and a Mr. Brog with some SG Full Virginia Flake, that someone else gave me. Very different blends! The AE was mostly a Virginia with a subtle maple flavor. I really enjoyed this one. The flake was hard to light and "Why is the world wobbling?" Also, after the sun went down, the temperature dropped to the 30's. FYI, the tamper works great.
