I'll be ordering a 787 Dreamliner in the morning, and a fleet of Bugattis to start off, I think. 8)
What happened? Reading those recent "no more McClelland" threads made me curious enough to check what had been in some of the pipe show dinner goodie-bags I'd gathered over the past few years. It was a habit to pass 90% of their contents around to the young guys in the KC club, but I kept the McC stuff for old times' sake. (I used to buy their tobacco when the cans had a paper wrapper that was sealed with wax).
Going by those threads, a couple of these are worth a trillion dollars at the very least: :puffy:

George, better get them sold while the iron is hot. I am predicting that the wave of craziness is going to slow down once the flippers realize many of the blends they bought are not going to sell like they thought. I just checked out all of the MC auctions on ebay and only specific blends are getting the action. There are tons of blends getting none. The shills are also out in force pimping their friends auctions no doubt. I have a feeling many are going to get stuck with the high bids.
I think in about 3 weeks when the credit cards come due, we will see some fire sales. I did find some people with really old tins trying to get the moon for them. I don't think it is going to happen. One clown listed his tin as 1977 because he read that is when the company was founded.

Vegas Baby!!!
I'd like a certified, notorized and military grade encrypted document stating that the tins have the original labels, BEFORE I meet your demands.

Waitaminnit, Harris.... Hold on... you mean... I'm NOT a bazillionaire?!
Shit. I was SO looking forward to it. Being able to buy entire countries (I was gonna start with Scotland and New Zealand) sounded like fun. :(

Harris is scamming you George. Next comes the part where he offers to take the tins off your hands as a favor for HALF a bazillion dollars. Don’t fall for it.

Is that, you know, um... TRUE, Mr. Harris?

Good point. You definitely look too chill to do anything so snakey.
Which means Mr. Jguss (how is that pronounced, I wonder?) is tryin' to START something, I bet.
Jesse the Silver tried to warn me about him.
I dunno. It's gettin' to be too much. The stress of becoming a bazillionaire isn't worth all this intrigue, you know? Maybe I'll just smoke that tobacco.
Or throw it way. Yeah, that's it! Into the trash and outta my life!
[clang, crunch, whirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr)
Yessir, all gone. Down the kitchen sink disposal it just went.
What a load off my mind. I shoulda done that sooner. And wow... my house suddenly smells amazing, too!

I agree with cigrmaster. After a few weeks, the market will be negatively impacted by the floor of supply provided by speculators and people who realized they bought far, far too much. By then you'll only be a millionaire.

Bazillionaire or not, that is a nice looking collection you have there. I'm jealous.

I truly haven't a clue about any of it except those two cans that have a chunk of whiskey barrel wood packed in them. (I recall Mike talking about how much experimentation it took before the concept worked). I've smoked Gawith Hogarth's unflavored strong stuff exclusively since the summer of 2006. Kendal Kentucky, Kendal Dark, Dark Birdseyeballs, etc. Every time I move off that spot, it just tastes odd.
