Hmm, this is tough, because as the seasons change, so do the tobacco jars. A summer affair with Virginia is fleeting, soon giving way to a fall romance with Burley... but, oh, how I adore my winters with a certain English leaf!
As of right now, I've been spending most of my time snuggling up with:
Haunted Bookshop (and two-timing it a bit with Old J. Krantz)

Cornell & Diehl: Billy Budd

Mac Baren: HH Old Dark Fired

McClelland: Frog Morton on the Bayou

McClelland: Frog Morton Cellar
It's so difficult to be faithful! Don't even get me started on my small pipe harem.

Newminister 403 is surprisingly competitive with some of the more expensive flakes. Hope it finds a new fan.
For my top five...
1. C&D - Old Joe Krantz. Just lock me in a room with a bucket of this and a good briar.

2. Dunhill - Royal Yacht. The best all-day work smoke ever.

3. Peterson - Irish Flake and Perfect Plug. Very similar, very flavorful, extremely relaxing.

4. Peterson - Irish Oak. Expect the unexpected, with piquant balance.

5. GH&Co Ltd - Brown Twist Sliced. Despite some Lakeland (vomit) a solid smoke with depth.
...right now. Dunhill - Nightcap should be on there too.

My tastes have changed somewhat over the past few years, but my five go to smokes are:

(in no particular order) Escudo, Deep Hollow, Fusilier's Ration, Black Cavendish and Mississippi River.

Honorable mention for Stonehaven, but I rarely smoke it; I just sit in my cellar stroking the jar and mumbling something about my precious...

I'm not broadly experienced enough to really participate in a thread like this, though. I doubt if I've tried even two dozen blends yet. And the truth is I smoke SWRA at least as much as any of those others.
