Mordy18 recently posted a comment about finding a blend to cellar deeply. This got me thinking (always dangerous), what are your top 5 blends to cellar deeply now, from a smoking preference perspective? Currently mine would be something like this:

Newminster Superior Navy Flake
Presbyterian Mixture
Solani Aged Burley Flake / Wessex Burley Slices
C&D Blockade Runner
Lane BLWB

Interesting, I would have to focus on blends that I doubt will 1) clear the deeming regs on their own merits, and 2) their manufacturers won't want to pay the fee and go through the process to have them stay on the market. Exceptions: Blends with limited supply in the US.

1. Quiet Nights
2. Blairgowrie
3. Mac Baren HH Burley Flake
4. Gawith Best Brown Flake
5. Gawith St. James Flake

This is if I was starting over. My current cellar is plenty deep for me, but mostly with blends that will facially clear the deeming regs. I just buy heavy when there's a sale going on.

I don't have a Top 5 blends to cellar deeply, but I've been on a G.L. Pease run to add as much variety as I can across the different genres that are available. My second blender to go deep on is MacBaren, specifically the 1lb boxes from the HH lineup.

For me personally and in no particular order:

1. SG St James Flake
2. GH&C Bob's Chocolate Flake
3. GH&C Scotch Flake
4. Rattray's Exotic Passion
5. Esoterica Penzance (or Arango Balkan Supreme)

There's a few other blends that I hate to leave off this list but definitely would include in a top 10 list or substitute for any of the above based on availability.
