Seriously, you'd be surprised at where I can light a wooden match. There are ways of doing it. I learned to light them as a teen standing out on the open trestles of bridges overlooking rivers! Won't tell you though what it was I was trying to light.
Well now we know who caused that rash of burning bridges. My question is, did you let them dry enough before putting the match to them? It's 75% technique and 25% equipment.

This thread is such bullsh!t.
OP makes it seem like you can just roll outta bed one morning, toss on a cravat and you'll be green lighted to start looking down at Cob Smokers. This takes so much for granted it's downright offensive. It takes YEARS of planning to be a real snob. There's practice, there's expense there's discipline.
You, sir, clearly have no idea how many hours it takes sitting in front of a mirror practicing expressions. The last thing you want is for someone to confuse your look of Scorn for Pity!

pwkarch - I understand what your are saying. I have sighted a few of them on this forum as well as others. I don't call them tobacco snobs, I call them Pipe Smoking Elitist.

OK....perhaps "snobs" was a poor choice of words. If I knew that a bunch of people were going to get their panties in a bunch I would have used softer language. I like "elitist" which in a broad sense is a synonym of sorts in my mind. The basic problem in email communications is there are no facial expressions to backup the rhetoric, there is no inflection or tone quality in written words. Reading something and inferring what the author was implying is often inaccurate. It is called communication which as we all know is best accomplished face to face with perhaps a pipe in the mouth and respect in the air. So, assuming everyone here is at least a "big boy" I would love to get beyond this issue. And for the record I am not a "troll", just someone who found this forum and wants to associate with like minded and interested folks and experience some knowledge and wisdom from others.

Pwkarch, you use very interesting language for someone who wants to get along. But don't get your panties in a bunch just because you're easily offended by people that disapprove of your choice of aromatics.

Wow, talk about a fallacy of reasoning! Respect? Face to face? Buddy, a lot of people in this world, spoken to face to face the way you have so arrogantly done so to these people here, would probably take you around the corner for a more personal "discussion." Before you can get respect from others, you ought to start out first trying to earn a little first.
