I got this t-shirt that @Nova Pipes & Tobacco sent me (for free).
Glad to see ya rockin the shirt @ziv

I run across these Captain Black tape measures today at home and it got me wondering about what other weird stuff tobacco companies have given away. Anybody else have any weird tobacco giveaways?
New goal for 2026: track down the weirdest tobacco related merch imaginable and start quietly tossing it into orders.

Considering that tobacco companies pretty much made up the whole collectible/sports cards thing to sell cigarettes around the turn of the last century - this is certainly a deep mine of swag. Throw in salesman's samples of tiny pipes or branded displays to high performing retailers and tobacco probably comes second to beer-iana in amount of crap produced.

Man. We are definitely missing out up north. We don’t have any large scale online retailers like SP or P&C.

We do occasionally get some free beer swag at the Beer Store though. I’d be totally staked for anything. I’d be paying the money anyway, so why not get something free.

I see the adverts for promotional freebies on SP and sigh. With our taxes and duties, however, it’s an impossible option.

Best thing we ever get up here is free shipping over $99. That’s like one 50g tin. 🤦‍♂️

I don't know if that counts as a "weird" tobacco company gift but I once saw (and nearly bought) a Marlboro beer mug. It was made out of pewter with a glass, see-through bottom. The letters MB were etched on the side of the pint. I should have bought it...

I also have come across a Cohiba butane torch lighter, with a cigar punch integrated at the bottom.

Be glad you didn't, the glass bottom ones pretty much all leak after awhile
