Those are really cool! I'm surprised that they aren't more valuable $$$. I guess tobacco inserts didn't become a commodity until they started putting baseball players on those cards.

Also any chance of getting to see some more of the color players cigerette ones? I like the painted/drawn cards a lot.

I will photo the whole lot since people seem interested.

Churchmans, Players and Will's Woodbines I am informed use to produce the bulk of the cigarette cards back in the day before WW2. I seem to recall that Players No:6 used to have a coupon in the packet that you could save up to buy stuff from their catalogue - the joke was that 200 coupons got you an iron lung! I sort of remember as a kid aged about 5 or 6 that you could trade these in the playground for other cards. Then we all discovered Bazooka Joe and lost interest in the planes, trains, famous cross dressers of the British Empire and other stuff on the Players cards and became enamored by all the 'American' guff.
