Seems different...the brown background...Burley? Navigation of the sight works well.
I'm wondering what one wins for the trophies...

Private Messages (PM) are now conversations... click the icon with 3 small bars in the upper left hand corner and a panel will open on the left hand side of the screen. On the top bar select the envelope icon and your “messages” will display.

If you miss having your photo album handy
Maybe this has been answered, but can we get the photos from our old album in any way? A few of the ones from my old album had a couple backups which have both gone kaput. I don't mind having to store them elsewhere, I just am a bit sad about losing what I had.

EDIT: I know, I should have backed them up again as soon as I heard about a new platform. I take full responsibility. However losing some of those photos would suck.

If you go to a post from someone and highlight it, a reply option will automatically appear. Hitting it will put that text in your reply box.

I don't know whether this is a new feature or whether I'm just the last to know!

I'll go first. When at the forum main page, I usually head for the lower part showing the latest posts first. If you look to the far right of where it says "Main Category" at the top, there is a little ^ symbol.

Click that to collapse the categories list and get right to the "Latest Discussions" below...
Thanks.

The site looks good. A bit too complicated for my pea sized brain. Enjoy it gang.
You’re not going away too are you? In all honestly, I think this is much more user friendly than the old site, it’s just that you are so used to the old site. It will really take just a small learning curve to get the hang of it and then you’ll forget all about the old site.

Eventually this change had to be done otherwise PM would have been left behind in the digital dust. I don’t think any of us wants that.

Anyway, @ashdigger, I really hope you stick around.

Hawky, I see your response to Ben, but where do we find "Find Content"? Thx

Edit: Hawk, I looked closer at your response and see what to do. Thanks

One of the greatest features of the upgrade (imo) is the ability to read the OP text on a thread by hovering over the title without having to open it.

Having emoticons galore is OK, there's even a search box. We don't have to use them all, and I hope they don't get replaced by the old ones, as there are some I use a lot that the old forum didn't have, like this guy: . The emoticons box is also 'smart', it remembers the ones you use most so that you don't have to scroll down/use search. It's quite good: it only lacks pipe emoticons!! (*|Olkofri ducks immediately to avoid being hit by Kevin's hurled flying ashes.)

It's also great to have now at least two emoticons for whenever someone mentions Craptain Black and Borkum Riffraff: ??

@ olkofri: And that guy: :ROFLMAO: looks like he's in pain.

But as Joni Mitchell said, laughing and crying, it's the same release.

Hmm, I sometimes have that expression after eating hot Thai food...
