Let's consolidate here little things we've learned with the new forum that may help all enjoy life a bit more.

Please start or go to a different thread for gripes and unrelated posts.

I'll go first. When at the forum main page, I usually head for the lower part showing the latest posts first. If you look to the far right of where it says "Main Category" at the top, there is a little ^ symbol.

Click that to collapse the categories list and get right to the "Latest Discussions" below.

Whatcha got?

Jay - thanks for that. I was trying to solve the same problem and I came up with a different solution. If you go to the top of the screen where "Forums" is listed (between Join and Retail Directory) you can click for the drop down list and "New Posts" is one of the options you can choose.

If you miss having your photo album handy, just make a file folder on your desktop with all your pics in it.

Adding images from it is easy. For instance, my little name and Jolly Roger badge that I end each post with is just a small pic, now in my desktop folder.

Open your pic folder, right click on the image, select copy. Go into your forum post, put the cursor where you want the image, right click and select paste.

You will then be given a choice to add it as a thumbnail or full image, whichever you wish.

So easy, I bet Tom will finally share all of those pipes he's been hiding from us.... ⚓

The EDIT feature has been liberated!

When I first got on today, I saw that one of my last posts before the switch had a text representation of an old site emoji that is no longer supported. I was able to hit edit today and replace it with something more fitting.

Now you can probably go back to all your old posts and wipe out all of the shitty things you said while drunk and out of your favorite tobacco...

If you click on JimInks name it shows >33,000 posts ?:)?????

Oh, and btw, this post also serves to show that the smiley face in your response bar allows you to insert Emojis ?

When looking at the latest thread posts, I don't see a feature to go to the first unread post, something I was hoping for.

But you can still easily get to the last post, just like with the old site.

Where it says "jaytex969 replied 2 minutes ago", you can click on the "2 minutes ago" link to get to that last post and then just scroll up to where you left off.

Neal just because we have access to a billion emoticons doesn't mean we should use them.

We can save a draft or delete a draft of our post. No matter if you log out or not. Nice! It's the last icon you see in the top row when you go to write a post.

Oooh, you can copy/paste images! Just right click on image, copy, then go to reply post at bottom and paste. It automatically pastes in the new post. ? (That's my last emoji Mike, I promise ?)

Kevin wrote "Photo upload - Increased the file size limit to 8MB."

We do not have to resize photo's in our library prior to importing them here. I had been experiencing a problem and thought it was due to the file size. Not an issue now. Thanks Kevin!?

When looking at the New Posts section, I noticed that the times posted on some of the threads didn't jive because the date stamp was using a different time zone. To update, I went to my account, selected "Preferences" and then chose my time zone.
