Thoughts on Vauen Pipes?

They do make some nice pipes but I dont own one yet. They are easy to get in the EU (from Germany). I may have to pick one up as I like 9mm pipes and its their specialty. They have some somewhat odd and what I think are regional designs. Some a bit far out but they also have some really nice classic designs as well.

Does anyone know about the quality of their briar? They are machine pipes but that isnt always a bad thing when its done right. Its hard to beat their prices. My only complaint is that they could step up their game a bit on the metal stem treatments.

Mine is minuscule, an estate, it just arrived this afternoon - i tried Macbaren Vanilla Cream on it - tobacco taste is good and no harsh feeling, burn to bottom and the bowl heat is tolerable.Quality and workmanship is good

They have a line that looks remarkably similar to Ser Jacopa Delecta ... at least the silver spigot work ... I believe Barontini designed.

Yes some of it looks good and some looks a bit like it came off a cheap ink pen. Its sad on those because some of the grain and other work looks really good.

I have two. They are certainly German craftsmanship and engineering on display. Both of mine are big solid pipes that are great for a chair, but not much for clenching.

The matching of the wood and stem is flawless, and their 9mm filter system is the best in the industry. Highly recommend you pull the trigger, you won’t be disappointed.
