I know exactly what you mean. I love coming home after a long day to my shop and my chair, and lighting up a pipe and watching TV. I also enjoy my first day off after a long week, getting up with a coffee and a morning pipe while relaxing in my chair. Usually I'm watching old 70's and 80's sitcoms or old school Portland Wrestling on YouTube.

The tan chair on the right was given to me by a friend and was the first chair in my man-cave going back to about 2009. It's about 50 years old, and it's been to 4 states, from Alaska to Arizona. It's broken in perfectly and is great for relaxing with a pipe. When we renovated the shop to a game room on one side and smoking lounge on the other side, the wife wanted me to toss out the old chair. There was no way I could let it go. It's my chair, and I will own it until it falls apart and is no longer functional as a chair.

Envy thy name is me.

I don’t enjoy tobacco in the house (very, very rare exceptions) - just not something my wife would appreciate and I’m completely fine with that - no spot for a dedicated space.

So ….. my garage is heated and I can settle into a Cabela’s folding camp chair, lol, or sit on my stool at the workbench. No real setup - either use the little Bluetooth speaker for music from my phone or the radio on the Jeep is I want some variety.

Someday I’ll be able to be outside 24/7/365 but for now cold, snowy winters keep me off the deck.

I love the idea of this but need a better chair. Been on the lookout for a used leather Chesterfield, but no luck yet. I prefer a book or listening to music to TV, though.

Anybody like coming home after a long day, sitting in the nice recliner, loading up the same old pipe, and watching TV for hours? When the pipe is done, you empty it and fill it again to keep the experience going? Some days it’s what I really need, a few hours with a codger blend and a good movie.
I've never had the experience you're describing, but it sounds damn nice.

There are some nice Herman Miller Eames Lounge Chair knockoffs. They're still pricey, but both form and function.

Jealous of all my indoor smoking friends here. For a variety of reasons, I only smoke outside.
I’ve never experienced a “room note”.
I’d LOVE to be able to smoke inside.
Maybe someday…
