I never liked any rack maker product that insisted on storing pipes of different shapes bowl down. Antique chair side racks holding several pipes in my collection have larger holes and all my pipes are placed stem down. Maybe the stem down racks went out with the decline of clay pipes. Also there is a plus of having any excess gunk drain into the easy clean stem .

I bought a beautiful cut bourbon barrel holder. It screws onto a wall. However I will restate someone's post above.... its just asking for a broken pipe..... I broke one of my favorite churchwardens stem from the shank. It broke off and not repairing. Just tossed it away. I do like the case that holds multiple pipes though.

My first rack, I picked up one of these off of Etsy, and the guy said he wasn’t making any more, so I paid a local carpenter to make two more. He passed recently, and I need someone to make me a full wall display with glass doors.

I still have other racks. One for my bamboos…

One for my Nording Valhallas and my French pipes…

And, my Amazon case came in yesterday…

But, I still have two drawers just piled with pipes… and, some just laying about the house, cabin, and studios.

I make all of mine and do commission work. The black one was a commissioned job for a guy. The rest are for my ever growing pipe collection.

I decided to keep mine out of sight for a couple reasons. The aforementioned questions from my wife being one and the protection of the pipes for another. I refinished an old hitch for all my cigar/pipe stuff and lined the bottom of the pipe drawer with adhesive backed felt and bought some dividers on Amazon. Everything works well except for the idea that the size of the drawer and dividers would limit my PAD to 15 pipes!

I just got this extra one on Ebay. I've never seen a little corner one like it before so it intrigued. I don't need the jar as I don't go for a single blend that could be stored in there, but it looks cool.

It will be rack / container #6 in addition to a shelf, and none of them are the same.
I've a lazy susan for 12, a floor stand for 12, a wall mountable for 4 churchwardens, a non rotating circular one for 8, a recliner for 4, and a repurposed jewelry / valet that holds 8-12 depending on size...
I don't even know where this one will go yet but I'm not done expanding and improving my space(s) for them quite yet, so even if it sits for a bit that's fine.
Edit:
I forgot that I have one other that is a "roll-top", like an old fashioned desk or bread container from days gone by. That is very unique, might get another...
