No, re-read me above. I said that there were still some of these blends on the shelves of B&M's
Ah, I see. Yes, this is true. I was able to pick up two tins of Tudor Caste and three tins of Blackwoods flake on Monday from my local B&W.
I was in Los Angeles this past Sunday and I called around to see if stores had some McClelland in stock -- no luck there.

Elver, I know that Joe at The Briary will work with you, if my post didn't already empty their shelves. But, if they will work with you, I bet there are many, many more B&Ms across the country with only a telephone number to find them that will gladly run to the post office for you.
I just sent one of our members my local information on my local B&M since they had three tins of Balkan Blue still available (this is his favorite blend).
I was able to buy almost everything I wanted during IPSD. I wish I had more Tudor Castle and Beacon Extra, but it is what it is. Tudor Castle had been out of stock even before the rumors started to fly around...so those two tins I bought on Monday will have to last me a loooooooong time.

Aurora and Pebblecut were my favorites, and they were sleepers in the forums. No one ever mentioned them, so I go lax about stocking up. But, I almost always had a tin of one or the other open. And, they were even in stock while everyone else was raving over 40th. So, I stocked up on them, but then, even before speculations were really looking serious, overnight, Aurora dried up. So, now they are my, National Championship win again, my daughter is getting married, or my cat had puppies smokes.

I just looked at my ebay search for "Frog Morton" from last night. Clicked on like 30 auctions and not one has been ended by ebay, so no idea where that is coming from.

Example: If Joe Blow buys 100 tins of Frog Morton Cellar; that's potentially 100 people that couldn't buy a tin,

So What?? Joe Blow is perfectly allowed to buy what he wants...... this is AMERICA dude.........I don't see the problem...........

I could buy 100 bottles of Pappy van Winkle............

I could buy 100 ounces of gold, ......... that's 100 ounces that would never get to the poor..... your argument is laughable and juvenile......
I wouldn't say my argument is laughable or juvenile when many of the people in the pipe community agree with it. In your opinion it might be, but many others agree with me. Yes, its a free country, free market blah, blah, blah, but to deliberately buy a bunch of tobacco with no intention of ever smoking it and for the sole purpose of keeping it from others at regular price, and then only to turn around and sell it at an inflated price is dumb and makes that person a D-bag!!! Yes, this is America DUDE, and its full of Giant D-bags!!! There seems to be more and more each day. My opinion of course.

If you were doing a normal search, ended auctions would not have shown up. They will appear with an advanced search. When last I looked there were about 180 McClelland related auctions. That's way up from a couple of weeks ago. Right now the action is at smokingpipes where McClelland's final shipment of a few blends is selling out.

aquadoc, I couldn't agree more. Price is what the market will bear. If you missed out and are butthurt about not having McC tins stashed, it's on you, not the hussle and entrepreneurship of others. I for one have no intention of selling my stashed tins but kudos to those that took the risk and are selling. That is how our system works.

FROGGY IS IN STOCK AT SPC RIGHT NOW! QUIT COMPLAINING AND GET SOME!..
6 cans bought for personal use. But I had the time (and need) I would by 50 a day and flip every single one of them for $100 a pop. You'd be CRAZY not to. That's 70$ a can profit AFTER shipping if prices hold up.
