It becomes more clear when you look at the bidder feedback on that 50g tin auction (which is now over $100 if you include shipping), and realize that more than one person is probably shilling the shit out of that $100 50g tin. A lot of the 50g Frogs seem to be selling for $50+ with legit action, and a lot of the 100g Frogs are selling at $80+, no-shill.

It's not Frog Morton, but payless cigars has Nording Hunter Blend Beagle in stock. It is (was) blended my McClelland for Nording and I found it is very similar to McClellands 2015 Virginia Flake. One of the lesser known McClelland blends that the scalpers haven't bought, for those of us that intend to actually smoke our McClelland blends, here is a chance to cellar a few tins for the dry years to come!

The only down side is they are located in Colorado (Kommierado?) and charge a 20% excise tax on all tobacco products. Government overreach, the same reason the Mike and Mary retired....

Thanks for the tip. $10.49 per tin is all it cost me ordering from out of state, also picked up a couple of Buteras I like. Pretty sure I didn't get all of any of them.

Had nothing to do with it which you would know if you had read their farewell statement. No politics here. Please take it elsewhere. Two members, one of them a long term member, could not respect that rule and recently got banned.

Not sure why Ebay gets the hate that it does. Ebay should have higher prices as there is more involved than when we are just selling to each other on these boards. Selling something on Ebay for $50 will net you around $43. Even if that item would trade for $30 on this board, I feel that the $43 is a fair price over there. There is inherent risk selling on Ebay, like losing your account. More risk equals higher prices.
I understand it's against their policies but I can't say I haven't willfully broke a policy for my own good. In fact, I do it all the time when I send or accept funds for tobacco through paypal friends and family :)

Awesome, they still have 14 tins left and bunch of Buetras! I stocked up on Buteras as well. Not that I needed anything at all. Feeding TAD!

Nice.
I wonder if these blends are any good.
I wonder because I also bought some Buteras and Nording tins. :puffy:

@elvergun, I have not had the Nording Beagle, but it has been well reviewed. I ordered Butera Blended Flake and Golden Cake based on prior smoking from years back. I consider them exceptional blends in every respect.
Mike McNeil is said to have made the comment that Mike Butera, who knew exactly what he wanted to accomplish with these blends, was the most particular person he had ever tried to please. And this from a man who had previously worked with Barry Levin.
A few weeks ago the timing wasn't right for me to grab any of these blends. I figured they would all be out of stock everywhere by now. I firmly believe you will be pleased. If you don't like them, send me a PM.

@oldgeezersmoker, thanks for the information. Sounds like all us newbs to Butera will be enjoying some great smokes.

My whole beef with this thing is that people are making pipes and smoking them not fun. I get capitalism and supply and demand, and if you can get $120 for a 50g tin of Frog Morton (are you kidding me?), OK. But Pipes and smoking them are the relaxing part of my life. And the last few weeks with the McClelland run has been anything but relaxing.

I tried to order a few tins of the Butera blends and Nording Beagle on Payless 12 hours ago, but they needed to verify the age of my US tobacco enabler. By the time they were done, everything i wanted to order was gone. Boo...
