not super old 10 to 20 maybe 30 years old and it seems if it is from the 1940s it will have gone somewhat flat scentwise. Scotch snuff holds up well. I know people that snuffed snuff from the 18 hundreds and got the nic hit and some weird scents.it's a glass jar and pretty sure it's the original snuff, which is basically dust to begin with.
