@warren, well said! Healthcare is a commodity, a set of services and products that with the help of doctor, you choose based on your preferences. At least that's the way it should be. My choices should in no way be burden to anyone else. Yet, that's the way things are going. The more we go "universal" the more liberty we lose. I'm not even sure we get better healthcare in the bargain.
I told my doctor when I turned sixty that my goal was to live well for the next twenty years in relatively good health and happiness. He didn't seem to know how to deal with that. It's as if the imperative is to make sure everyone lives to 120 or even forever! I just don't think that's realistic or even desirable, especially if I can't enjoy life.
